Ramadan sales to watch in 2022, from art prints to electronics

With Ramadan fast approaching, brands have started announcing their sales for the season.

From everyday groceries and furniture brands to electronics and art decor, we’ve picked the highlights from this year’s long list of Ramadan sales.

Most offers are already available, some until mid-April.


Emaar’s online shopping retailer is offering up to 70% off thousands of items in various categories on its website. In addition to Ramadan essentials, such as lanterns and flasks, midi is also offering discounts on groceries, electronics and beauty items.

Smartphones are reduced by up to 50%, while the prices of televisions, cameras and game consoles have been reduced by 60%.

The sale lasts until April 2.

Danube Home

Furniture retailer Danube Home launched the third edition of its Mad Red Sale ahead of Ramadan. Customers can take advantage of the offer through the brand’s website, which has recently been improved and revamped.

Through March 31, the sale includes 8,000 varieties of furniture, as well as furniture, decor, housewares and kitchenware. Prices range from cooking utensils starting at Dh1 to a gazebo priced at Dh899. Sofa beds start at Dh335 while the Milano RO+UV water purifier is now at Dh699.

Services include free delivery and installation within 48 hours.

Do your walls need character and color? Drawdeck, which specializes in wall art and fine art prints, has announced a 25% discount on prints from April 7-28.

Those wishing to hold evening gatherings can show prints of abstract art, digital art and photography, including works by Leemo, Afaaf Saeed and Arty Guava.

Highlights include a photograph of Arabic motifs in Morocco by Dutch photographer Raisa Zwart and cheerful one-line drawings by Omani artist Shatha Al Dafai.

Print prices range from 74 Dh to 111 Dh.


Swedish furniture store Ikea is offering members of the Ikea family 25% off selected catering and kitchen products. Among the items on sale, the Jokkmokk table with four chairs, initially priced at Dh545, is now available for Dh445. Carpets, such as the Kraghave, once priced at Dh1,295, are now at Dh945.

There are also discounts on baskets, carts and even charcoal barbecue stations.

The sale runs until April 10.

Sharaf DG has reduced the prices of kitchen appliances, home decor, watches, childcare items and video game consoles by 75% on its website.

Those looking to buy new appliances can choose from a variety of air fryers, toasters, sandwiches, grills and ovens. The electronics retailer is also offering discounts on smartphones, such as the iPhone 13 Pro Max (256GB), priced at Dh5,119 is now around Dh4,860.

There are also laptop discounts including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Lenovo ThinkBook, HP Laptops, Microsoft Surface, Dell Inspiron and more.

Offers are valid until April 10.

Life Pharmacy’s Ramadan sale is live on its website, with up to 70% off beauty products and test kits.

Among the biggest markdowns, a blood glucose monitor with test strips once priced at Dh149 is now Dh1. Products such as nebulizers, humidifiers and epilators are also on sale.

In addition to everyday products such as toothpaste, cleansers and baby care, fitness snacks such as energy bars are available at reduced prices.

Brands such as Sunshine Nutrition, Natures Aid, Jovene, Vidaderm, Topicrem, Nordic Sunshine and Lierac are also on sale.

Offers last until March 31.
